Late or Absent from School
We know…
…the importance of school. Children are very busy at school and their day is filled with learning experiences and teaching activities. To ensure that your child benefits from all that is offered, it is essential that he/she attend the full day and term.
…that life has many demands and at times it may be necessary for your child to arrive late, depart early, or be absent from school.
…the importance of communicating with each other. If your child:
Arrives late at school
Students who arrive late to school must collect a Late Note from the office before going to the classroom.
Leaves the school grounds during the school day
A Leave Pass must be obtained from the front office by a parent or guardian and then handed to the classroom teacher. Teachers are unable to release children without first receiving the Pass.
Has an illness
We are committed to the care, safety and wellbeing of all children attending the school.
If your child will be absent due to illness: Please telephone the school office on 9352 2700, send a SMS on 0408 942 938 or let us know via Connect before 9am. Your child’s class teacher will then be informed.
If your child has a contagious illness: Please advise the school immediately so that we can put in place the Department of Education Guidelines particular to each illness.
If your child becomes unwell at school: You will be contacted by our Office Team and informed as soon as possible so that you can collect your child.
