We invite you to visit
Located in the Perth suburb of Hamersley, approximately fifteen kilometres north of the city, Glendale Primary School nestles in a tranquil environment with lush native gardens. The large grass trees are a significant feature of the extensive grounds incorporating separate play areas and two lawned fields for sport.
Glendale Primary School has been established in the local community since 1971. In 2015, it became an Independent Public School.
Enrolment currently stands at 332 children from Kindergarten to Year 6, with students drawn mainly from the Warwick and Hamersley areas. The school also attracts 30 percent of students from outside the area. Prospective parents report this is because of the school’s positive reputation for inclusivity, quality education programs, behaviour management and pastoral care.
Glendale Primary School has a strong focus on developing children of character and is committed to the integration of values through the curriculum. The Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Program reinforces these values providing ongoing support and consistency.
The school also offers a wide range of educational opportunities including specialist programs that include LOTE (Indonesian), Music, Engineering, Visual Arts and Physical Education.
Glendale Primary School is a STEM Enterprise School and has had a team of teachers working with the Department of Education and the Innovation Unit to develop a STEM program that focuses on developing skills to equip our students to be confident and engaged learners.
Our Kindy/ Pre-Primary students learn through a balanced play based approach based on the Kathy Walker Learning Approach.
