From the Principal – 24 August 2018

Carnival Day is always a highlight on the Glendale Primary School calendar and yesterday was no exception. Our Students, Staff and Parents participated in an outstanding day which illustrated our sportspersonship, our endeavour and our co-operation skills.  A special mentioned must be made of Mr Marsden who co-ordinated the day and Mr Fairclough who spent a large amount of time assisting and supporting Mr Marsden in producing a memorable event. Our students were the real stars of the day, their enthusiasm and enjoyment was there for all to see. We now start preparation for the Interschool Carnival later this term.

Our school photos are planned for Wednesday and Thursday next week with family photos occurring from 8.00am in the school library. Please click here to view the timetable. All students are expected to be in correct school uniform (royal blue polo t-shirt with logo and navy blue shorts / skirt or school dress, no faction polo t-shirts please) for their photos.  Year 6 students can wear their Graduation shirts.

I wish to express my concern regarding the increasing number of students who arrive at school after the commencement of the day. May I please remind parents and caregivers that every moment a child spends in school is valuable. If your child arrives late, not only does that affect the teaching and learning of your child but the disruption it causes to all the students in the class is a consequence of this. We encourage students to arrive 15 minutes before the commencement of the school day which allows time for students to settle and prepare for the day ahead. Your anticipated assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
