Raising concerns

Families and community are an important part of our school. We welcome not only your child but you into our community.

It is important to us that parents feel comfortable communicating with teachers and staff at the school.  By working together, we can provide a positive environment to foster your child’s academic and social growth.

Regular interaction will also make it easier for you to feel confident about the teaching and learning taking place in the classroom and to discuss problems as they arise.

Your first point of contact should always be your child’s class teacher. Talk to the teacher and make an appointment to meet with him/her so that you can discuss the problem away from the classroom. Remember that you are meeting with the teacher to gain their support in solving a problem.

Maintain your link with the teacher and keep communicating as some issues may not be possible to solve immediately. Most concerns are resolved at a classroom level however, please contact the Principal if you would like to discuss the matter further.

The Education Act prohibits direct contact by parents with other students while they are at school so all concerns must be directed through school staff.
